About the iPhone 15

The iPhone 15 arrived in September 2023 and changed two things people had asked for since forever: it swapped Lightning for USB-C, and it brought the Dynamic Island down from the Pro models. It also got the 48 MP main camera, so you can take full-resolution shots or use a clean 2x zoom that crops from the middle of the sensor. Photos in daylight are a big step up from the 14.

The chip is the A16 Bionic, the same one from the 14 Pro, with 6 GB of RAM. The 6.1-inch Super Retina XDR OLED screen goes up to 2000 nits outdoors, which you will notice in a Dubai summer. It is still a 60 Hz panel; ProMotion stayed on the Pro until the iPhone 17.

Battery is 3,349 mAh, rated for up to 20 hours of video. The back is colour-infused frosted glass, and the whole phone is a touch lighter than the 14 at 171 g. It has 5G, Wi-Fi 6, IP68 water resistance, Crash Detection and the second-gen Ultra Wideband chip for Precision Finding. The UAE and international model A3090 has a nano-SIM tray plus eSIM. Colours are Black, Blue, Green, Yellow and Pink.

Still worth buying in 2026?

Yes. In 2026 the iPhone 15 is the sweet spot for a renewed iPhone: USB-C, a 48 MP camera, Dynamic Island, and it runs iOS 27. It is the cheapest iPhone that does not feel like an older phone.

The one gap is Apple Intelligence. The 15 has 6 GB of RAM, and Apple's AI features need the 8 GB found in the 15 Pro and every iPhone 16 and 17. If you want writing tools, the smarter Siri and Image Playground, go for the 16. If you mostly use your phone for WhatsApp, banking, maps, Instagram and photos, you will not miss it.

It suits anyone upgrading from an iPhone 11, 12 or 13 who wants a modern phone without paying for Pro features.

Availability in the UAE

Apple removed the iPhone 15 from its line-up in September 2025 when the iPhone 17 launched and the 16 moved down to take its place. It is no longer sold new through Apple's UAE store, and retail stock has mostly gone.

It launched at AED 3,399 for 128 GB. Renewed at Refab you pay roughly half, for a phone that is Excellent Grade with an original screen, at least 90% battery health and an 18-month warranty. The exact price depends on the storage and colour you choose above, and Tabby or Tamara can split it into four.

How the iPhone 15 compares

iPhone 15 vs iPhone 14

The iPhone 14 has Lightning, a 12 MP camera, a notch and the A15 chip. The 15 fixes all four. It costs a few hundred dirhams more renewed, and it is worth it if you are keeping the phone for more than two years.

iPhone 15 vs iPhone 15 Pro

The iPhone 15 Pro adds a 120 Hz Always-On screen, a 3x telephoto, the Action button, a titanium frame, USB 3 speeds, 8 GB RAM and Apple Intelligence. If you take a lot of photos or want the AI features, the Pro is the one. If not, the 15 gives you most of the daily experience for less.

iPhone 15 vs iPhone 16

The iPhone 16 looks almost the same but has the A18 chip with 8 GB RAM (so Apple Intelligence works), the Action button, the Camera Control button, a better ultra wide with macro, and about two hours more battery. The 15 is cheaper; the 16 is more future-proof.

iPhone 15 vs iPhone 14 Pro

Similar money renewed. The iPhone 14 Pro has the better screen (120 Hz, Always-On) and a telephoto, but it is heavier and uses Lightning. The 15 has USB-C and is lighter. Screen and zoom lovers pick the 14 Pro; everyone else picks the 15.

iPhone 15

iPhone 15 – Frequently asked questions

Does the iPhone 15 have USB-C?

Yes. The iPhone 15 was the first iPhone with a USB-C port, replacing Lightning. It charges with any USB-C cable and power adapter. Data transfer is at USB 2 speeds; the faster USB 3 port is on the 15 Pro.

Does the iPhone 15 have Dynamic Island?

Yes. The 15 was the first standard (non-Pro) iPhone with the Dynamic Island instead of a notch. It shows timers, music, Live Activities and call controls at the top of the screen.

Does the iPhone 15 support Apple Intelligence?

No. Apple Intelligence needs 8 GB of RAM and the A17 Pro chip or newer. The iPhone 15 has the A16 with 6 GB. It still runs iOS 27 with all the non-AI features. If you want Apple Intelligence, the iPhone 16 is the cheapest option.

Is the iPhone 15 screen 120 Hz?

No, it is 60 Hz. ProMotion (120 Hz) was Pro-only until Apple added it to the standard iPhone 17. Day to day, the 60 Hz screen on the 15 is still sharp and very bright at up to 2000 nits.

How fast is delivery in the UAE?

Delivery is free anywhere in the UAE. In Dubai it usually arrives within one day, sometimes the same day if you order early. For Abu Dhabi, Sharjah and the other emirates, allow up to four days.

Can I return the phone if I change my mind?

Yes. You have 14 days from delivery to return it. Returns are not free: there is an AED 100 return fee, which covers collection and re-inspection. The phone needs to come back in the same condition, with everything that was in the box.

What does the 18-month warranty cover?

Our 18-month warranty covers hardware faults that show up in normal use, for example a speaker, camera or charging port that stops working. It does not cover physical damage like a cracked screen, or liquid damage. It is the longest warranty on renewed iPhones in the UAE, and six months longer than Apple's own one-year cover on a new phone.

What does Excellent Grade mean at Refab?

It is the only condition we sell. Excellent Grade means no visible scratches on the screen or body when you hold the phone normally, an original Apple screen, Face ID and every button working, and battery health of 90% or more. If a phone does not meet that, we do not list it.
